We are currently hiring MIG and TIG Welders for an industry leader in the Building Services sector. You will be responsible for welding a range of pipe configurations, utilising various methods to produce high-quality welds. Competitive rates of pay based on experience, with overtime available at 1.5.
MIG Welder Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00, Friday 07:00-16:00
TIG Welder Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-16:30, Friday 07:00-13:30
Key Responsibilities:
- Use precision measurement instruments and metal cutting and grinding equipment
- General workshop duties
- Read and understand pipe fabrication drawings for each project
- Adhere to company welding procedures and ensure proper pipe preparation and fit-up
- Undertake training in accordance with company standards and complete cross-training in various welding activities
- Follow company Health & Safety processes
Requirements:
Essential:
- Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding
- Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up
- Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures
- Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc.
Desirable:
- Heavy or structural Fabrication experience
- Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
- Abrasive wheel training
