Job Description

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading Parcel Courier client based in the Barnsley area.Shifts: 10pm till 6am Pay Rate: From £12.21 Location: Barnsley – S74Job Type : Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidateThe role:Sort and organise incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.Ensure proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation.Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.Requirements:Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.Team player with excellent communication skills.Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.Benefits:Discounts at hundreds of high-street stores and supermarkets.Wellbeing aid.Financial aid.Legal aid.For more information, please apply directly with a copy of your CV today and a member of our team will be in touch!TPBN1_UKTJ
