The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Exeter area. We are looking for experienced Van Drivers (CAT B) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, start times from 6am/7am (approximately 8-hour shifts on average) with occasional weekend availability.
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour PAYE
Location: Exeter, EX2
Job Type: Ongoing with potential to go permanent for the right candidate
The role:
- Deliver and exchange mats from customers' premises (picking and delivery around 40 floor mats).
- Collect used mats for cleaning and maintenance.
- Ensure timely and efficient mat exchange at each stop, using a PDA to record the exchange.
- Maintain a high standard of service and professionalism when interacting with clients.
- Report any issues or concerns to the supervisor.
- Safely load and unload mats from the van.
- Load van with mats in the afternoon for the following day (drivers may be able to take the van home so they can go straight to the locations after loading the day before).
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence.
- Have at least 1 year of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Strong work ethic and commitment to safety.
- Availability for early morning shifts and occasional weekend work.
- Ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
