The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team. Hours:Nights/Afters across Monday to Sunday- shifts will be 5 out of 7 a week (weekends included) on a rota basis. Pay Rate:Afters – £13.71 per hour / Nights – £16.09 per hour (PAYE) Location:Southampton, SO16 Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner. 40 hour workweeks for full time positions but flexible contracts are an option. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C). Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills. A safety-first mindset.
