We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience managing projects above 500kW who is looking to develop their career within a growing renewable energy business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the end-to-end delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects (500kW+) from pre-construction through to commissioning.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Manage site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance at all times.
  • Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
  • Assist with procurement of materials and contractor management.
  • Ensure quality standards and technical specifications are met throughout project delivery.
  • Support grid connection processes and liaise with DNOs where required.

Requirements

  • Proven experience supporting or managing Solar PV projects of 500kW+.
  • Strong experience working on commercial rooftop installations.
  • Good understanding of project management principles within construction or renewable energy.
  • Knowledge of UK Solar PV regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.

Desirable

  • Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Construction, or Renewable Energy.
  • Experience with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
  • Knowledge of grid connections and DNO processes.
  • SMSTS / SSSTS or equivalent health & safety certification.
