Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the smooth operation of our warehouse, ensuring that all shipping and receiving tasks are completed accurately and on time. Responsibilities
- Execute shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring all items are accurately logged and stored.
- Utilise the Warehouse Management System (WMS) for tracking inventory levels and managing stock.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring safe lifting techniques are employed during heavy lifting tasks.
- Perform picking and packing duties to prepare orders for dispatch.
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move goods within the warehouse.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse space to promote safety and efficiency.
- Conduct regular inventory checks to ensure stock levels are maintained accurately.
- Assist with basic mechanical maintenance as needed, utilising mechanical knowledge when applicable.
Requirements
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving is preferred.
- Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is advantageous.
- Strong skills in materials handling, including experience with heavy lifting.
- Knowledge of AS400 systems is a plus.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Forklift certification is desirable; training may be provided for the right candidate.
- Good physical fitness is required, as the role involves standing for long periods and performing manual labour.
