We are currently hiring Assembly Operatives to join a leading manufacturer. You will be in a busy workshop environment and responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements.
Hours: Monday to Thursday 7am-4pm, Friday 7am-1pm
Rate: £12.71
Type: Temp to perm
Location: Stourport, DY13
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering high-quality finishes in a workshop environment while maintaining excellent safety and quality standards.
- General inspection.
- Using hand/power tools such as drills, mallets, screwdrivers etc. to assemble metal stands and components for conveyors.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Responsible for the manufacture or assembly of components in accordance with drawings or customers' requirements and SOPs.
- Advising Department Section Leader of defective tooling, jigs or fixtures or manufacturing problems that prevent production targets being achieved.
Requirements:
- Previous mechanical assembly experience.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Reliability and good communication skills.
- Ability to understand engineering drawings.
- Ideally candidates will have their own means of transport to allow for occasional movement between sites, as the business needs.
