The Recruitment Crowd is recruiting on behalf of a confidential client for an experienced Children's Therapeutic Deputy Manager to join a specialist 3-bed children's residential home in Gateshead. This is an excellent opportunity to join a progressive, trauma-informed organisation that provides therapeutic care for children and young people with learning disabilities and emotional and behavioural needs.
The Role
Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll help lead the day-to-day operation of the home, ensuring high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance while supporting and developing the staff team. You'll play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing and therapeutic environment where children can thrive.
Shift Pattern:
- Two on-shift days: 7:30am - 9:30pm
- Administrative shifts: 8:30am - 4:30pm
- One contracted sleep-in per week

About You
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience working within a Children's Residential Home, ideally in a Senior Support Worker or Deputy Manager role
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (essential)
- A good understanding of trauma-informed and therapeutic practice
- Knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding requirements
- Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills
- Full UK driving licence
- A passion for delivering outstanding outcomes for children and young people
