HGV Class 1 Night Shunter in London

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Wolverhampton area. We are looking for an experienced Class 1 Shunter to join the team on nights. Hours: Monday to Friday, 18:00pm start Location: Wolverhampton, WV4 Pay: £19.17 per hour PAYE Job Type: Temp to perm The role: Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations

please note that drivers will be required to conduct duties between two other locations close by (WV14 & WV4) Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces. Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability. Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures. Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow. Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team. Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements. Assist with other yard duties as needed. Requirements: Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E). 2 years experience required Tug experience is preferred but not essential as training will be provided Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card. No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only). Full understanding of WTD legislation. Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position. Excellent communication skills.
