The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established furniture business. We are looking for multiple Van Drivers to join the team on a temp to perm basis.

Location: Lichfield, WS13

Job Type: 13 Week Temp to Perm

Pay Rates: £13.40 per hour, increased to £13.82 per hour upon successful completion of probation

Hours & Shift Patterns:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Rotational shifts between days and afternoons
  • 06:00 start approximately 22:00 finish
  • Full-time ongoing work available

The Role:

  • Multi-drop delivery work across commercial and residential locations
  • Delivering furniture and household items including sofas, cabinets and other home furnishings
  • Up to 13 drops per day
  • Mixture of doorstep deliveries and room of choice deliveries
  • Some deliveries will involve furniture assembly within customers' homes
  • Double manned vehicle crews
  • Drivers typically complete around 4 hours driving before swapping driving duties
  • Operating manual transmission vehicles
  • Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
  • Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently

Requirements:

  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Minimum 2 years driving experience required
  • Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
  • Comfortable with manual handling and heavy items
  • Good customer service skills
  • Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
  • Must be able to work both day and afternoon shifts on a rotational basis
