The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and family-run food distribution business based in Sherburn in Elmet. We are looking for an experienced HGV Class 2 (CAT C) Driver to join the team on a permanent basis.
Location: Sherburn in Elmet, LS25
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Pay Details: £34,700 per annum. Overtime paid at time and a half (daily).
Shift Pattern & Start Times: Monday to Friday 05:30 start, 45-hour working week. No weekend work.
The Role:
- Multi-drop deliveries to bakeries, butchers and farm shops across the North of England.
- Operating Class 2 vehicles within a food distribution environment.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks in line with legal requirements.
- Cross-checking deliveries, including temperature checks where required.
- Managing returns and completing relevant paperwork.
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and on time.
- Maintaining a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
Requirements:
- Valid HGV Class 2 (CAT C) licence, held for at least 2 years.
- Valid CPC and Digi Card.
- Previous multi-drop experience preferred.
- Maximum 6 points for minor offences only.
- Good understanding of driver hours and regulations.
- Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work.
- Food distribution or refrigeration experience advantageous but not essential.
