The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Edinburgh area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Shifts:
- Shifts across Monday to Sunday (drivers must be required to do weekends)
- Full Time
- Part Time / AD-HOC
- Weekends
Hours: Days / Afters / Nights
Pay Rate: £17.20 to £24.44 per hour PAYE.

The role (please note there can be different types of runs for this position):
- Split Shifts - starts from 15:30pm - 18:30pm - driver will be required to go from depot to Carlisle with a loaded trailer, once arrived, driver will then go to the truck stop for their rest (night out and meal allowance added).
- Night Trunks - start times from 20:00pm - drivers will start from depot and go to Carlisle and then take a loaded trailer back into Scotland.
- Day Trunks - start from 00:00am - drivers will cover trunks to Aberdeen/Inverness/Carlisle.
- Double Manned Crews - starts from 12pm - 7pm - 2 drivers will trunk to the Hubs.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
- Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
- Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
