The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Grays area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers to join the team.
Shifts:
- Run across Monday to Sunday (weekends included)
Hours:
- 01:00am starts
- 13:00pm - 15:00pm starts
Pay Rate:
- Class 2
- Afters - £15.86 per hour rising to £16.61 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
- Nights - £17.10 per hour rising to £17.80 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
- Class 1
- Afters - £17.22 per hour rising to £17.92 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE
- Nights - £19.12 per hour rising to £19.87 per hour after 12 weeks PAYE

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
- Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
