The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client, EVRi, based in the Sheffield area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C&E) to join the team on a Temp to Perm Basis.
Immediate start!
Hours: Monday to Sunday
Days: Start time 12:00 PM
Pay Rates: £14.10 per hour Temp to perm after 12 weeks.
Location: Sheffield, S9
Job Type: Temp to perm after 12 weeks
The role:
- Delivering palletised parcels to sub-depots and collection units.
- Driver will be required to unload and load the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
- Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
- Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
- Conduct pre and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
- Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
- Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
- Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
- Assist with other yard duties as needed.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Experience required, especially reversing.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
