The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the YO42 area. We are looking for multiple Warehouse Operatives to join the team.

THIS ROLE IS A PERMANENT POSITION FOR THE CORRECT CANDIDATE! FULL TIME WORKERS NEEDED!

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2:30pm-8:30pm - must have a valid FLT CB license

Location: YO42 York

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

  • Sort and organise incoming parcels accurately and efficiently based on designated routes and destinations.
  • Operate conveyor belts, scanners, and other equipment to facilitate the sorting process.
  • Ensure proper labelling and categorisation of parcels to prevent errors in delivery.
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a smooth workflow and meet deadlines.
  • Identify damaged parcels and follow company protocols for proper handling and documentation.
  • Assist in loading and unloading delivery vehicles, optimising space utilisation.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area to uphold safety and efficiency standards.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and security.

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in warehouse, logistics, or parcel sorting is preferred but not required.
  • Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and lift packages of varying weights.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accurate sorting and labelling of parcels.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Team player with excellent communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work night shifts and occasional overtime as needed.
  • Reliable transportation to and from the warehouse location.
