The Recruitment Crowd is currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Southampton area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Friday to Monday typically starts between 2am-12pm
Pay Rate:
- Nights - £16.65 per hour PAYE
- Days - £15.09 per hour PAYE
Location: Southampton, SO16 9JX
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
The role:
- Working set shifts with a rota planned in advance
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units
- Some deliveries/returns from addresses
- Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork
- Drivers will be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Full understanding of WTD legislation
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
