The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known, industry-leading client based in Warrington. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Shunter Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Shifts: 4 days per week (12-hour shifts) Day or night shifts available. Shifts can fall on any day Monday to Sunday.
Pay Rates (Rolled-Up Holidays):
- Days: Monday-Thursday £17.15 / Friday £21.65
- Nights: Monday-Thursday £18.40 / Friday £22.62
Location: Warrington, WA5
Job Type: Ongoing, full-time
The Role:
- Shunting trailers within the yard to ensure smooth operations
- Safely manoeuvring vehicles in tight and busy spaces
- Carrying out pre- and post-shift vehicle checks
- Following all health & safety procedures
- Communicating with yard and dispatch teams
- Reporting defects promptly
- Supporting general yard duties when required
Requirements:
- Full UK Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid CPC & Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 6 points (minor offences only)
- Able to pass assessment (theory + practical)
- Good understanding of WTD legislation
- Strong communication skills and safety-first approach
