We are recruiting on behalf of a highly respected care provider who delivers specialist services for individuals with learning disabilities, autism, and complex needs. This organisation has a strong reputation for quality care and innovation in the sector, and they are now seeking an experienced Area Director to join their leadership team.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic and driven leader with extensive experience in the Learning Disability sector to oversee a portfolio of services across the North West of England.
The Role
As Area Director, you will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight to a number of supported living and residential care services. You will be responsible for ensuring outstanding care, financial sustainability, and a positive culture that supports both colleagues and the people in care.
- Leading and inspiring Service Managers and their teams to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.
- Acting as a visible and accessible leader, championing quality, safety, and people-focused outcomes.
- Delivering financial and growth targets while ensuring safe staffing and efficient service delivery.
- Working with senior leadership to develop budgets and achieve performance KPIs.
- Ensuring environments are well-maintained, safe, and supportive for residents and staff.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Significant management experience in the Learning Disability sector (Supported Living and/or Residential Care).
- A proven track record of working with CQC and Local Authorities.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to balance operational, financial, and people priorities effectively.
- A flexible and resilient approach, including willingness to be on call when required.
- Above all, a genuine commitment to person-centred care and supporting individuals to thrive.
