The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our longstanding clients that are part of a global network specialising in the production and distribution of industrial batteries and energy storage solutions.
Location: ST5 (Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent)
Job Type: Temp ongoing, with the possibility to lead to a permanent contract for the right candidate.
Pay rate: £13.20 per hour.
Hours: Monday to Thursday (08:00 to 16:30), Friday (08:00 to 15:00), 39 hours a week standard, with the possibility of overtime through the week and on the weekend paid at T1/2.
The role:
- Overhauling/reconditioning of railway battery systems.
- Assist in fault-finding, troubleshooting, and minor repair work on products.
- Assembly, wiring and connections of electrical equipment and railway battery systems.
- Picking orders to be sent out.
- Using reach truck as and when required to replenish stock.
- Working within a team to achieve required orders.
- Carry out training/upskilling on relevant procedures and areas.
- Using a variety of different tools.
- Occasionally using the company van to drive to sites and deliver parts needed for engineers.
- Comply with relevant UK standards and adhere to quality requirements.
- Keep a safe, clean, and efficient working environment.
Requirements:
- Must have an accredited reach truck license, dated within the last 3 years.
- Must have a valid UK driving license.
