We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on experience managing projects above 500kW who is looking to develop their career within a growing renewable energy business.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the end-to-end delivery of commercial rooftop Solar PV projects (500kW) from pre-construction through to commissioning.
- Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
- Support project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Manage site activities, ensuring health & safety compliance at all times.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to senior stakeholders.
- Assist with procurement of materials and contractor management.
- Ensure quality standards and technical specifications are met throughout project delivery.
- Support grid connection processes and liaise with DNOs where required.
- Proven experience supporting or managing Solar PV projects of 500kW.
- Strong experience working on commercial rooftop installations.
- Good understanding of project management principles within construction or renewable energy.
- Knowledge of UK Solar PV regulations, standards, and health & safety requirements.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the UK.
- Relevant degree or qualification in Engineering, Construction, or Renewable Energy.
- Experience with project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Primavera).
- Knowledge of grid connections and DNO processes.
- SMSTS / SSSTS or equivalent health & safety certification.
- Salary up to £45,000.
