The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Motherwell area. We are looking for multiple HGV (CAT CE) drivers to join the team.
Roles: Class 1 Days
Hours: Shifts run across Monday to Friday, Class 1 Days - 13:00pm start time
Pay Rate: Class 1 Days - £14.36 rising to £15.11 per hour PAYE
Location: Motherwell, ML1
Job Type: Ongoing with opportunity for permanent.
The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs with 4-5 delivery stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category CE).
- 3 months experience required.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
