With our Industrial Division, we are looking to add an experienced Business Development Manager to play an integral part to the aggressive growth plans TRC have in place for 2026/27!
The Role & Duties
The Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business across the UK Temporary Staffing market. The role focuses on supplying high-volume, short-notice, and peak-driven labour solutions while ensuring strong margins. This role requires a strong understanding of Temporary Recruitment models, compliance, volume workforce planning, and fast-paced client environments.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development (Temp & Temp to Perm Focused)
- Proactively identify and secure new temporary staffing opportunities through outbound sales, referrals, networking, and site-led activity
- Win Preferred Supplier List (PSL), sole supplier, and Managed Service Provider (MSP) agreements
- Conduct on-site client meetings to understand volume requirements, shift patterns, peak periods, and compliance expectations
- Negotiate commercial terms including charge rates, margins, rebates, and service level agreements
- Convert job leads into live temporary bookings and ensure smooth handover to delivery teams
Workforce & Delivery Collaboration
- Work closely with internal management and resource teams to ensure fulfilment of client requirements
- Support workforce planning for peak trading periods and seasonal demand
- Ensure client expectations are aligned with candidate availability and market conditions
The Candidate
- Proven experience in temporary recruitment business development
- Strong track record of winning and growing high-volume temp accounts
- Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills
- Strong understanding of temporary recruitment compliance and legislation
- Commercially focused with the ability to protect and grow margin
- Experience supplying volume industrial labour market
- Experience managing PSL, MSP, or onsite accounts
- Multi-site or national account exposure
