The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Winwick area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 and HGV Class 2 Night Drivers to join the team. New Passes Welcome!

Shifts: Shifts run across Sunday to Friday (occasional Saturday); drivers must be available to work Sundays and Fridays.

Hours: Between 22:00pm- 23:59pm starts

Pay Rates:

  • Class 1: £16.56 per hour PAYE, rising to £17.26 after 12 weeks
  • Class 2: £15.56 per hour PAYE, rising to £16.35 after 12 weeks

Location: Winwick, WA2

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.

The role:

  • Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
  • Handling runs, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
  • Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
  • Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with either Class 1 (Category CE) or Class 2 (Category C) entitlement.
  • Valid and in-date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation.
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A safety-first mindset.
