The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Dundee area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.

Hours: Working 5 shifts out of 7 shifts across Monday to Sunday - Days 6am - 9am start

Pay Rate: Class 2 - £13.49 rising to £14.19 after 12 weeks, Class 1 - £14.10 rising to £14.80 after 12 weeks

Location: Dundee, DD2

Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

The role:

  • Safely transporting our palletised parcels to Couriers or collecting from Delivery Units
  • Typically have a run with 4 - 5 drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the paperwork updated
  • Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots
  • Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods
  • Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle
  • Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations
  • Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful

Requirements:

  • Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
  • Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
  • Full understanding of WTD legislation
  • Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment
  • Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A safety-first mindset
