The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Dundee area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 2 Drivers (CAT C) to join the team.
Hours: Working 5 shifts out of 7 shifts across Monday to Sunday - Days 6am - 9am start
Pay Rate: Class 2 - £13.49 rising to £14.19 after 12 weeks, Class 1 - £14.10 rising to £14.80 after 12 weeks
Location: Dundee, DD2
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate
The role:
- Safely transporting our palletised parcels to Couriers or collecting from Delivery Units
- Typically have a run with 4 - 5 drops ensuring the safe, efficient driving of vehicles and keeping the paperwork updated
- Using tail lift/pump truck to handle pallets at sub depots
- Ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods
- Maintaining a clean and organised vehicle
- Collaborating with warehouse and logistics teams for efficient operations
- Complete a theory and practical assessment to ensure compliance with safety and operational standards and then complete a few days paid training if assessment is successful
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C)
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Full understanding of WTD legislation
- Ability to operate tail lift and pump truck equipment
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
- Excellent communication skills
