The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Crawley area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
- Shift: Full time or part time - Nights - Shifts across Sunday to Saturday - 23:59pm Starts
- Pay Rate: Class 2 Nights - £17.42 per hour PAYE, Class 1 Nights - £17.92 per hour PAYE
- Location: Crawley RH10
- Job Type: Ongoing with the opportunity for permanent
The role: Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units. Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork. Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck. Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Experience would be preferred but new passes will be considered
- Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (Cat C)
- Valid and in date CPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only)
- Full understanding of WTD legislation
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position
- Excellent communication skills
- A safety-first mindset
