The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based in the Coventry CV8 area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Weekend Drivers (CAT CE) to join the team. Adhoc Weekend drivers needed.
Shift Patterns: Weekends (Sat-Sun) - £19.89 including holiday pay.
Key Responsibilities:
- Trunking between depots, ensuring timely and safe delivery of parcels containing high-value goods.
- Collecting high-value goods from well-known customers, including full trailer collections, drop and swap operations.
- Occasional handling of push roller cages as required.
- Precise reversing and manoeuvring in yards, including shunting duties when needed.
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Adhering to traffic laws, regulations, and company safety standards.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 (CE) entitlement.
- At least 6 months on-road CE experience.
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- Maximum of 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Successful completion of assessment (practical based).
- Understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills and a safety-first mindset.
