The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well-known and industry-leading client based across the UK. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT CE) to join the team.
Shifts: Shifts across Monday to Sunday - Full time - Part time / AD-HOC - Weekends
Hours: Afters/Nights
Pay Rate:
- Monday to Friday - Β£19.15ph PAYE
- Saturday - Β£24.52ph PAYE
- Overtime (anything over 8 hours) Monday to Saturday - Β£27.25ph PAYE
- Sunday - Β£27.25ph PAYE - Flat rate
- Bank Holidays - Β£34.23ph PAYE
Location: Basingstoke, RG24
Job Type: Ongoing
The role: Trucking only. Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot. Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries. Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position. Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category CE).
- At least 12 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
- Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
- Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
