Belfast city centre based (Hybrid working) Senior Data Engineer – FinTech (Permanent position). Exclusively partnering with a client in the Fintech industry on the recruitment of a Senior Data Engineer as they look to grow their team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in all mentioned tools and technologies and will possess excellent soft skills, as they will communicate regularly with the business owners and other executive stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows using modern orchestration tools.
  • Design and optimise data warehouse models across cloud-based platforms.
  • Develop batch and real-time data solutions to support analytics, reporting, and operational use cases.
  • Support AI/ML initiatives by enabling reliable data pipelines and production-ready datasets.

  • 8+ years total in Data Engineering.
  • Strong experience with SQL and Python for building and optimising data pipelines.
  • Excellent experience working with AWS data services, including Amazon Redshift and PostgreSQL.
  • Hands‑on experience using Apache Airflow for workflow orchestration.
  • Experience supporting AI/ML pipelines or data workflows in production environments.
  • Good understanding of data warehousing, performance tuning, and scalable data modelling.
  • Comfortable working in complex, fast‑moving technical environments and collaborating across teams.
