Job Title: Site Manager
Location: Newport
Salary: £45,000 per annum

Hours: Full time. Monday – Friday days regular
Here at The Recruitment Co, we are recruiting a Site Manager to work for a company based in Newport on a full time, permanent contract.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:

  • Oversee production, storage, and dispatch
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Manage inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Enforce health and safety regulations to minimise risks.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and risk assessments.
  • Manage hazardous materials in compliance with environmental laws.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise and support staff, including training and performance management.
  • Organise work schedules and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Foster a strong safety and teamwork culture.

Quality Assurance:

  • Ensure products meet customer specifications and industry standards.
  • Oversee maintenance of machinery and equipment to prevent downtime.

Customer and Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with customers to ensure timely delivery of orders.
  • Work with suppliers and logistics providers for smooth operations.
  • Provide accurate reporting to senior management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Implement cost-saving measures and process improvements.
  • Monitor KPIs to optimise operations and achieve targets.

Required Experience

  • Proven experience in a similar management role, preferably in the fertiliser, agriculture, or chemical industry.
  • Health and safety training (e.g., NEBOSH or IOSH)
  • Shovel or forklift licences would be an advantage
  • Strong leadership and decision-making abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset.
  • Knowledge of logistics, storage, and handling of fertiliser products.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
