The predicted salary is between 14.02 - 14.02 £ per hour.

We are currently seeking a Quality Control Operative to join our team at the Camden Group’s Steeple Road site. This is a key role within our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers.

Location: Camden Group, Steeple Road Site

Shift Pattern: Day Shift

  • Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 5:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 1:15pm

Rate of Pay: £14.02 per hour

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct end-of-line quality checks in line with QC Standard Operating Procedures
  • Identify, document, and report quality issues throughout the manufacturing process
  • Support production teams in recognising defects and implementing corrective actions
  • Work collaboratively to reduce remakes across all factories
  • Communicate effectively with the Quality Manager, Production Managers, and Supervisors
  • Ensure all quality control tasks are completed daily and any issues are cleared promptly
  • Provide daily reports outlining quality concerns and trends
  • Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
  • Carry out manual handling duties, including occasional heavy lifting of window and door components

Essential Criteria:

  • Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven approach
  • Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required
  • Physically capable of manual handling, including intermittent heavy lifting
  • Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing
