We are currently seeking a part-time temporary ongoing Library assistant for our Client based in Portadown Library. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with a public sector body.
STARTING ASAP
Working on a 2 week rota basis:
- Week One
- Monday: No hours
- Tuesday: 10:00 - 5:30
- Wednesday: 10:00 - 2:00
- Thursday: 10:00 - 2:00
- Friday: 1:30 - 5:30
- Saturday: No hours
- Week Two
- Monday: No hours
- Tuesday: 10:00 - 5:30
- Wednesday: 3:30 - 7:00
- Thursday: 10:00 - 14:00
- Friday: 10:00 - 5:30
- Saturday: 10:00 - 4:00
Standard hourly rate: £13.63, Saturday rate: £20.45
Duties include:
- Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
- Registering clients
- Introducing and explaining library services, rules and regulations
- Providing all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
- 1 years experience providing face to face service with the public.
- Experience working with young children and elderly people
- Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
