We are seeking Band 3 Finance Officers to provide administrative and financial support across the Finance & Estates Directorate. The post holder will work as part of a busy team, supporting effective financial operations within the Trust.
Key Duties
- Process financial information in line with Trust policies and timescales
- Assist with reconciliations and investigation of financial queries
- Input, validate, and retrieve financial data using computerised systems and spreadsheets
- Support compliance with Public Sector Prompt Payment Policy
- Provide administrative support including correspondence, reports, filing, and meeting arrangements
- Handle large volumes of cash/coin where required
- Manage workloads to meet weekly, monthly, and annual deadlines
- Liaise effectively with staff and stakeholders across the Trust
Essential Criteria
- Option 1: 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C or equivalent) including English & Maths and 1 year’s relevant experience OR
- Option 2: 2 years’ relevant experience
- Relevant experience: working with computerised financial systems in a busy finance office.
- ECDL or equivalent or strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organisational, communication, and IT skills
- Ability to work independently and accurately
Other Requirements
- Full UK driving licence and access to a car (may be waived depending on post and individual circumstances)
