We are currently recruiting a EO1 Accounting Technician for our client based in Belfast. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.
Start date: ASAP
Rate of pay: £17.23ph
Hours of work: 37 Full time Mon to Fri
Temporary, expected role end date - 21/09/2026
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise sales invoices, purchase orders and prepare financial reports.
- Prepare and upload month-end journals including accruals, accrued income, prepayments and deferred income and other adjustment journals when required.
- Oversee management of travel desk.
- Petty cash, bank reconciliations and other bank transactions.
- Preparation of IFRS 16 lease receivables and lease payables reconciliations.
- Conduct fixed asset verification exercise.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, 6 monthly, interim and year-end accounts.
- Assist with audit preparation and provide required documentation.
- Conduct variance analysis for interim and year accounts.
- Assist with the preparation of journals for grants paid under the Peace plus programme and associated monthly accruals.
- Handle financial queries from internal teams and Arm's Length Bodies.
- Support senior finance staff with ad hoc financial tasks.
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
- Fully qualified Accounting Technician (ATI or equivalent).
- A degree with a minimum of 12 months' experience.
Desired:
- 2 years post qualification experience gained within the last 5 years.
- Excellent excel skills and experience of Oracle Financial Systems.
