Job Description
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Corporate Solicitor to join our specialist Corporate team,
ranked Tier 3 in Legal500 2025, comprising 9 lawyers and 5 Partners.
The successful candidate will be working across the whole team on a variety of
transactions deals and on various structures of transactions (including but not limited to
trade deals, private equity investment, and employee ownership trusts).
They will also be involved in day-to-day business assistance including group re-
organisations, shareholder's agreements and bespoke articles of association; helping a
business with external investment; and ultimately supporting the founders on their exit,
whether by way of trade sale, management buyout or EOT (as examples).
This is a full-time role (35 hours a week). Typically office hours are 9am to 5pm but some
flexibility will be required on occasion for urgent deadlines.
Hybrid working (1-2 days a week remote) will be available.
Candidate Requirements
? The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of transnational
corporate law as well as M&A, both in their training contract and post qualification,
and will be prepared to work on transactions and provide support as appropriate.
? A minimum of 1 year PQE, ideally 2-3 years is required.
? Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
? Excellent client care skills.
? A willingness to learn and work as part of the team.
? An interest in developing yourself and the team through BD activities. Confidence
in networking and promoting JMW to clients and contacts (support in developing
these skills can be provided but a willingness to get involved will be essential).
