Job Duties:
- The service, maintenance and repair of vehicles, plant and equipment.
- To include minor welding/fabrication, minor electrical repair and operation of stand-alone vehicle/plant diagnostic systems.
- Completion of details on job card and service checklist as required.
- Recording of parts and materials used from stock as per procedures.
- Keep work area and general workshop area clean and tidy to ensure that Health and Safety standards are adhered to.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained and used or operated in the correct manner in accordance with Health and Safety regulations.
- Operate workshop computer system if required (training will be provided) to produce job cards or look up data.
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
- Operate TRANMAN system when required.
- Operate Imprest stock stores system.
- Driving Departmental vehicles and plant.
Essential Criteria:
- Time-served apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle / Construction Plant Maintenance and Repair; AND
- NVQ Level 3 in Motor Vehicle / Construction Plant Maintenance and Repair or equivalent; OR NVQ Level 2 in Motor Vehicle / Construction Plant Maintenance and Repair or equivalent AND a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience; AND
- A full current driving licence which enables the applicant to drive in Northern Ireland.
*The successful applicant will be required to complete an Access NI during registration*
