£13.26 per hour
Hours
10 hours per week, with the possibility of additional hours in line with centre bookings.
- Key Duties
- Ensure the community centre and surrounding areas are kept clean, secure and well maintained.
- Carry out regular cleaning duties and maintain adequate stocks of cleaning materials and equipment.
- Open and lock the premises, acting as the primary key holder and responding to call-outs when required.
- Provide on-site cover for bookings and activities, ensuring compliance with health and safety procedures.
- Control access to the building and support the security of the premises.
- Respond to enquiries from centre users and members of the public, providing excellent customer service.
- Liaise with community groups and organisations using the facilities.
- Set up and dismantle rooms, equipment and furniture for centre bookings and events.
- Report accidents, incidents, repairs and maintenance issues promptly.
- Conduct routine checks of fire safety equipment and emergency systems.
- Maintain equipment inventories and complete relevant records and administrative tasks.
- Support Council events and participate in mandatory training.
- Work flexibly as part of the wider Community Planning and Development team.
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent)
- , including
English Language and Maths at Grade C or above.
- At least
- 6 months' experience
- (or
1 year's experience if educational criteria are not met) in
- Operating facilities, including cleaning and security duties.
- Dealing with members of the public and responding to enquiries.
- Carrying out administrative duties within a customer-focused environment.
- Ability to respond to call-outs outside normal working hours within a reasonable timeframe.
- Flexibility to work across Community Centres within the Carrickfergus area, including evenings and weekends when required.
