Casual Group Exercise Coaches to join our team and support the delivery of high-quality fitness and wellbeing programmes across our leisure centres.

Class Instructor (1-hour session)
- £30.00
- Service Delivery
The successful candidate will
- Support the delivery of a varied and engaging group exercise programme across Council leisure facilities.
- Deliver classes in accordance with relevant national governing body guidelines.
- Plan and deliver structured sessions that encourage participant progression and enjoyment.
- Coach and develop participants in a safe, inclusive and supportive environment.
- Ensure adherence to Council Health and Safety, Safeguarding and Child Protection policies.
- Maintain high standards of customer care and professionalism at all times.
- Conduct pre-session equipment safety checks and report any defects or incidents immediately.
- Complete associated administration, including attendance records and participant monitoring where required.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve service objectives. Respond professionally to customer enquiries, concerns and complaints.
- Promote inclusive participation and equitable access for all members of the community.
- Support the development of links with schools, clubs and community organisations as directed.

Qualifications
Applicants must possess
- A current coaching or teaching qualification in a group exercise discipline such as:
- Pump
- Group Spin
- Aerobics
- Water Aerobics
- Dance Fitness
- 50+ Fitness Classes
- HIIT
- 20/20/20
- Step
- Pilates
- Body Combat or an equivalent recognised qualification.
Skills and Knowledge
- Have and maintain an appropriate level of personal fitness to carry out the duties of the role.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Be passionate about motivating and supporting participants of varying abilities.
- Be committed to maintaining safe and inclusive exercise environments.
- Minimum of one year’s post-qualification experience delivering group exercise sessions within a commercial leisure environment.
