We are currently recruiting Transition Programme Support (Staff Officer) for our client based in Belfast, Airport Road. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI completed.
Start date: ASAP
Rate of pay: £19.59PH
Duration: 1/10/2026 with possibility of extension
Hours of work: 37
Key Responsibilities:
- To support the planning, coordination, governance and reporting of transition activity within the Operational Review Programme (ORP), ensuring that agreed reforms are effectively embedded into business‑as‑usual arrangements.
Main duties:
- Support the coordination and delivery of ORP transition activity
- Maintain and update programme documentation, including workplans, milestones, risks and issues
- Track progress and provide clear, accurate updates to support decision‑making
- Contribute to programme governance through preparation of reports, briefings and papers
- Liaise with business areas and corporate functions to support transition planning and implementation
- Support engagement activities, including briefings and workshops
- Carry out other duties appropriate to the grade, as required
Essential Criteria applicants must have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience of supporting projects, programmes or complex pieces of work
- Demonstrating strong organisational skills, including the ability to manage information and meet deadlines
- Demonstrating effective communication skills and experience of working with a range of stakeholders
- Delivering a quality service and contributing to continuous improvement
- Degree level qualification in business, administration or similar.
Desired but not essential:
- Experience of working in a programme, change, or transformation environment.
- Understanding of public sector governance or assurance frameworks (e.g. MSP principles).
- Experience of working in an operational policy role.
