We are recruiting a Finance Officer / Qualified Accountant to join our client in Belfast.
Immediate Requirement
Public Sector
Rate of Pay: TBC β Banding dependent on qualifications and experience
We are seeking an immediately available Finance Officer or Qualified Accountant with significant specialist experience in Capital Accounting to support a critical period of work, including the year-end close.
Key Requirements
- Substantial experience in Capital Accounting, including managing complex capital assets and detailed asset registers
- Hands-on use of an Asset Management System, specifically Real Asset Management (RAM)
- Recent or current experience operating within this specialist capital environment
- Strong understanding of asset valuation, movements, and reconciliations
Experience & Skills
- Relevant and preferably substantial experience within the public sector
- Ability to operate independently with minimal supervision
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail, particularly during year-end processes
- Confident providing practical support and guidance around asset accounting and capital reporting requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills within a complex financial framework
Role Focus
The successful candidate will:
- Provide independent assistance approaching and over the year-end period
- Ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and reporting of capital assets
- Support compliance with public-sector financial governance and accounting standards
