We are recruiting Extrusion Operatives on behalf of our client, Camden based in Antrim.

Location: Greystone Site, Camden Group, Antrim

Pay Rate: £14.31 per hour

Shift Pattern: Continental shift pattern (2-week rotation)

Days: 6:00am – 6:00pm

Nights: 6:00pm – 6:00am

Job Purpose

The Extrusion Operative is responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion machinery to produce high-quality uPVC products in line with Camden Group’s production standards. This role requires a strong focus on efficiency, quality control, and adherence to health and safety procedures within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and monitor extrusion lines in line with production schedules
  • Ensure all products meet required quality standards and report any defects
  • Carry out regular quality checks and accurately complete production records
  • Monitor machine performance and make minor adjustments to maintain optimal output
  • Support tool changes, machine start-ups, and shutdowns
  • Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to achieve production targets
  • Ensure raw materials are correctly loaded and handled
  • Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
  • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental policies
  • Assist with basic maintenance and fault identification

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Ability to follow instructions and work effectively within a team
  • Good communication skills
  • Willingness to work rotating shift patterns

Desirable:

  • Experience operating extrusion machinery, ideally within uPVC manufacturing
