Position: Administrative Officer
Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour
Hours: Full time, 37 hours per week, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Duration: up to 29th March 2026 (with possibility of extension)

Job Duties:
- Based in the Portal Learning and Development team within the Portal business support unit, this team facilitates the training of DAERA portal employees and governs health and safety at portal inspection locations.
- The post holder will be responsible for general administrative duties including but not limited to:
- Maintaining and creating Excel spreadsheets and manipulating and presenting data regarding training records and health and safety.
- Monitoring the DAERA Portal Learning and Development inbox daily.
- Maintaining a correspondence register on Excel.
- Coordinating the issue and return of correspondence to ensure queries are answered within acceptable timescales.
- Assisting in the organisation and delivery of internal/external training, adding staff to online training platforms, and maintaining health and safety records.
- Aiding in the circulation of BTSF (European Union Training platform) correspondence with interested parties and helping to process any subsequent applications.
- Assisting in coordinating complaint responses to appropriate deadlines as well as maintaining the team file plan and saving team correspondence.
Essential Criteria:
- 5 GCSEs A*-C including Maths and English (must be able to show evidence).
Desired Experience:
- Good organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Good knowledge of using software packages e.g., Microsoft Office.
*The successful applicant will be required to complete an Access NI during registration.*
