Location: Newforge (Hybrid Working)

Rate of Pay: £13.75 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary Agency Assignment

Duration: 3 months initially, with the possibility of extension

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: 37 hours per week

Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 5:00pm

On‑site in Newforge on Tuesdays and Wednesdays

Remote working from home on remaining days

About the Role

An opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Administration Officer (AO) to join a busy Finance / Procurement team on a temporary agency basis. This role provides essential administrative and customer support to the procurement function and is suited to an organised, detail‑focused individual with strong IT and communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing credit card purchase orders and related documentation
  • Managing staff travel requests
  • Maintaining and updating business case and PPE databases
  • Maintaining and updating contracts and procurement position notes
  • Managing a shared procurement mailbox, allocating queries to relevant team members
  • Providing administrative support to the Procurement Team, including ad hoc requests
  • Assisting with cover for on‑site stores duties when required

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Experience using IT systems, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and Teams
  • Previous experience in an administrative support role
  • Experience providing internal or external customer support
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills and a professional approach
