Location: New Forge

Start Date: Immediate

Hours: 37 per week, Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm

Pay Rate: £13.75 per hour

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Administrative Officer (AO) to join the Finance Processing - Accounts Receivable team. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised individual with strong communication skills and a background in administrative and customer support. You will play a key role in supporting the Accounts Receivable function, ensuring accurate processing of invoices, effective credit control, and high‑quality customer service.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Format data for import into the finance accounting system to generate batch invoices.
  • Create manual invoices and credit notes on customer accounts.
  • Carry out credit control tasks including issuing statements and copy invoices.
  • Take credit card payments from customers over the phone.
  • Resolve customer and supplier queries via email and telephone.
  • Process supplier invoices for payment using the purchase ordering system.
  • Review and post staff expense claims.
  • Maintain work trackers and query logs on Content Manager.

Applicants must demonstrate the following:

Qualifications

  • Two GCSEs in Mathematics and English, or equivalent.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently and professionally with colleagues and customers, both verbally and in writing.
  • Experience in an administrative support role that includes customer interaction (internal or external).
  • Proficient in using MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, Excel and Teams.
