We are recruiting for a Support Accountant to join our client in Ballymena, working 37.5 hours per week. Rate of pay £24.45 per hour. Immediate start 8 months initially.

We are seeking a Support Accountant to work closely with the Head Accountant in supporting financial planning, performance, and sustainability across the organisation. This role plays a key part in improving efficiency, supporting service development, and providing expert financial advice to senior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities (Summary)

  • Support the Head Accountant with financial planning, performance monitoring, and reporting
  • Produce and analyse the financial aspects of business cases and capital projects
  • Provide specialist financial advice to senior managers, clinicians, and directorates
  • Support efficiency, contingency, recovery, and modernisation plans
  • Assist with financial analysis for regional and local projects and commissioning requirements
  • Contribute to benchmarking, productivity, and value‑for‑money exercises
  • Represent Finance in service and budget agreement discussions and reviews
  • Provide training and high‑quality financial guidance to managers
  • Deputise for the Head Accountant when required

Essential Criteria

Qualifications / Registration

  • Full membership of a CCAB‑recognised professional accounting body or CIMA

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years' relevant finance experience at supervisory level

Other Requirements

  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (This requirement will be waived where a disability prevents driving and suitable alternative transport is available.)
