We are currently seeking a Full-time temporary Library Assistant for our Client based in Ballymena. This role is for a temporary ongoing position working Monday - Friday 9-5.
The library assistants will be processing new stock. The main duties will be opening boxes of books, matching invoices, and distributing books in readiness for delivery drivers. The work is physical and requires stamina due to the high volume of books arriving. Rate of pay is £13.63 per hour.
Duties include:
- Handling client queries using print & electronic resources
- Distributing books
- Processing stock
- Providing all library services to meet the learning, information, leisure and cultural needs of the local community.
Essential Criteria:
- Must have 5 GCSE's including English language and Maths grade C or equivalent
- 1 year experience providing face to face service with the public.
- Experience working with young children and elderly people
- Experience using ICT for accessing, selecting and using information
