We are currently seeking a Quality Control Operative to join our team at the Camden Group’s Steeple Road site. This is a key role within our manufacturing operations, ensuring that all products meet the highest quality standards before reaching our customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct end-of-line quality checks in line with QC Standard Operating Procedures
- Identify, document, and report quality issues throughout the manufacturing process
- Support production teams in recognising defects and implementing corrective actions
- Work collaboratively to reduce remakes across all factories
- Communicate effectively with the Quality Manager, Production Managers, and Supervisors
- Ensure all quality control tasks are completed daily and any issues are cleared promptly
- Provide daily reports outlining quality concerns and trends
- Assist in investigating and resolving customer complaints
- Carry out manual handling duties, including occasional heavy lifting of window and door components
Essential Criteria
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to identify and troubleshoot quality issues
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Working knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Self-motivated, proactive, and target-driven approach
- Flexibility to work reasonable overtime when required
- Physically capable of manual handling, including intermittent heavy lifting
- Previous experience in a Quality Control or Quality Assurance role within manufacturing
