We are currently recruiting 2 Agricultural Workers for our client based at Greenmount Campus, Antrim. The successful candidates will be required to start once the vetting paperwork and ANI are completed.

Start date: ASAP

Rate of pay: £13.69PH

Duration: 04/10/2026

Hours of work: 37

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful agency worker will be part of the Industrial Team based at The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise’s (CAFRE’s) Beef & Sheep Centre, Antrim.
  • The position will involve cattle and sheep husbandry duties.
  • Additional duties will include basic farm maintenance and operation of machinery associated with livestock, grassland management, and crop husbandry.
  • An element of physical and financial enterprise recording of farm data will also be required.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture.
  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Candidates should have at least one year’s experience of working with cattle and sheep.
  • Reading and writing skills are essential to follow standard operating procedures and record basic enterprise data on provided recording sheets and systems.

Desirable but not essential:

  • A formal training and assessed competence certificate in the safe operation of the following machinery would be advantageous:
    • Tractor Driving
    • Rough Terrain
    • Telescopic Handlers
    • Counter Balance Forklift Trucks
    • Sit astride All Terrain Vehicles (ATV)
