Our client, a large public sector organisation based in Antrim, is looking for an Industrial Worker to join their team.

Duration: March 2026 with possible extension

Rate of pay: £13.69

Location: Antrim

Hours: Core hours Monday - Thursday, 8.00am - 5.00pm & Friday 8.00am - 1.00pm.

Start date: ASAP

Main Duties:

  • The successful agency worker will be part of the Industrial Team based at The College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise's (CAFRE's) Hill Farm Centres, in Glenwherry.
  • The position will involve cattle and sheep husbandry duties.
  • Additional duties will include basic farm maintenance and operation of machinery associated with livestock, grassland management and crop husbandry.
  • An element of physical and financial enterprise recording of farm data will also be required.

Essential Criteria:

  • A minimum of a Level 2 Diploma in Agriculture.
  • A full driving licence is required.
  • Candidates should have at least one year's experience of working with cattle and sheep.
  • Reading and writing skills are essential to follow standard operating procedures and record basic enterprise data on provided recording sheets and systems.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • A formal training and assessed competence certificate in the safe operation of the following machinery would be advantageous:
  • Tractor Driving
  • Rough Terrain Telescopic Handlers
  • Counter Balance Forklift Trucks
  • Sit astride All Terrain Vehicles (ATV)
