Location: Ulster Hospital, Dundonald

Pay Rate: £12.75 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting, on behalf of a Health & Social Care Trust, for a Band 3 Administrative & Clerical Officer based at Ulster Hospital, Dundonald. The role will provide essential administrative support within Medical Specialties and Hospital Services. This position is ideal for an experienced administrator who thrives in a busy healthcare environment and is committed to delivering high standards of service in a patient-focused setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative and clerical support within a hospital environment
  • Maintain and update patient information accurately using electronic systems
  • Manage appointments, diaries, waiting lists, and work queues in line with Trust targets
  • Scan, upload, and maintain electronic and manual records
  • Act as a first point of contact for patient and staff enquiries
  • Support audits, reports, and statistical data preparation
  • Provide reception cover when required
  • Undertake general office duties including word processing, minute taking, and email management
  • Liaise with clinical teams, GP practices, and administrative colleagues

Essential Criteria

Applicants must meet one of the following:

  • 4 GCSEs (A-C) including English Language, plus 1 year's administrative/clerical experience
  • OR NVQ Level 2 in Administration plus 1 year's administrative/clerical experience
