Pay Rate: £12.31 per hour

Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am – 3:30pm

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly organised Admin Support professional to join our Catering Department in Newry. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong administrative skills and attention to detail to support the smooth running of our operations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Perform routine administrative tasks including filing, photocopying, scanning, and printing.
  • Use Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) effectively.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls, taking appropriate action and following up as required.
  • Maintain and update databases within the Domestic system, producing reports for the Senior Support Services Manager.
  • Complete timesheets and associated records for salaries and wages.
  • Liaise with Domestic and Support Services Managers and other admin staff.
  • Process and distribute incoming mail.
  • Record staff leave and update personal files.
  • Assist with compiling reports, drafting tables/forms, and collating information.
  • Prepare letters and reports for approval and signature.
  • Order stock and non-stock items via e-procurement, check and receipt deliveries.
  • Report faults/defects to Estates promptly.
  • Assist in handling complaints in line with Trust policy.
  • Maintain positive working relationships across all staff disciplines.
  • Carry out any other duties as required.

Essential Criteria

Qualifications: 4 GCSEs (Grades A-C) including English Language or equivalent/higher qualification AND 1 year’s experience in a clerical/administrative role OR 2 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role

Skills & Experience: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) Strong organisational and communication skills
